Catalogue to the Summer 2015 exhibition, The Paintings of John Calvin Stevens, at the University of New England Art Gallery.

The exhibit was the first which comprehensively brought Stevens’ paintings and sketchwork to the public since his passing in 1940. Stevens, best known as the preeminent architect of the Shingle and Colonial style in Maine, had a lifelong artistic passion which drew from the natural environment. The works are displayed in full color throughout this catalogue and combined with history of John Calvin Stevens (architect and artist) as well as information about his impressive body of artistic works.
