Spring 2011 Realtor Program
Learn about Portland’s rich and varied architecture and impress your clients with your expert knowledge!
Our three-hour program for real estate agents features a guided walking tour of Portland’s West End neighborhood followed by a presentation about local architectural styles and essential facts about Portland’s historic district ordinance. Greater Portland Landmarks’ docent Tom Caron of Northeast Inspection Services leads the walking tour. GPL staff provides the presentation.
Class dates for Spring 2011 are on Wednesdays: May 11, May 25, June 8, and June 22.

The Understanding Our Historic Buildings and Historic Districts classes begin at 10:00 am. Meet at the Thomas Brackett Reed statue on the Western Promenade.
Be prepared for walking. Wear appropriate shoes and bring along layered clothing during colder weather. Car pooling is recommended; two hour parking is available on Carroll Street. The second part of the class takes place in Greater Portland Landmarks’ offices at 93 High Street. Metered parking is available across the street from Safford House.
$35 per person; limit 12 per class.This fun and informative course is certified by the Maine Real Estate Commission and offers three hours of continuing education credit.
