Maps

The Peabody Research Library contains 181 maps of Portland and surrounding towns, many of which are original, including:

• 1871 Beers maps
• 1871 maps of Portland Wards
• 1882 Tax Revaluation Atlas
• 1890 map of Eastern Cemetery
• 1914 Richards Standard Atlas

The Library also houses many reproductions of historic maps useful to researchers and homeowners.  Please make an appointment to visit us and browse our collection. More extensive map collections exist at Maine Historical Society and the Osher Map Library.
