The Frances Wilson Peabody
Research Library collects materials that relate to historic
preservation, architecture, and/or local and town history, with an
emphasis on the Greater Portland area. Library collections include
books, photographs, and graphic materials. In some instances, the
Library collects selected rare materials, including books, maps,
postcards, historic journals, or particular collections of historic
and architectural resources.
Gifts from members and other donors are greatly valued and have
contributed to the expansion of the Library collection. All
donations will be reviewed by the Library Selection Committee for
relevance to the collection. A special bookplate with the donor's
name is placed in all donated publications and archival collections
include the title of the donor.
