Director of Development
The Director of Development will design, implement and execute comprehensive fundraising efforts to achieve the goals and objectives in Landmarks’ strategic plan. Fundraising responsibilities include development and implementation of capital campaign goals, membership cultivation, annual appeal solicitations, grant writing, and planned giving. Activities will expand the base of individual donors, build and strengthen relationships with major donors and funding sources, provide stewardship of donors and prospects, obtain grants to meet organizational goals, and plan special events that foster close relationships with members, supporters, and constituents. Create a marketing plan and coordinate with staff and Marketing Committee.
The Director of Development is an optimistic, outgoing team player, with excellent interpersonal and sales skills, who will represent the organization well and develop, implement, and market fundraising strategies that will maximize revenues, visibility, and ongoing support for the organization.
Requirements: College degree and 3-5 years in development field: membership cultivation, annual appeal solicitation, and cultivation, stewardship, and retention of major donors. Experience with capital campaigns and event planning. Demonstrated entrepreneurial, creative, and opportunistic skills in approaching fundraising, marketing, and membership development.
