Sustainability and the Greening of Historic Buildings with Denis Lachman and Peter Taggart
Denis Lachman is principal of Lachman Architects and Planners, which purposefully integrates the allied disciplines of Architecture, Community Planning, and Historic Preservation in a single full-service firm focused on “building communities with community buildings.” He is a registered Maine architect with 30 years experience in Construction, Architecture, and Sustainability.
Peter Taggart, owner and president of Taggart Construction, began his company in 1994 “to develop, practice, and promote sustainable methods of building design and construction.” He believes restoration and adaptive re-use is ultimately sustainable architecture. Peter is on the board of the Maine chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
